Backlink Building Strategy - 5 Simple Rules For Building Backlinks
Without a viable strategy backlink building your internet marketing efforts will be wasted.

You could build the site more professional in the world, with tons of fancy graphics, plenty of content and a host of interactive features.

But if you do not have a solid backlink building strategy in place of your site, it will never be found on the Internet.

The Holy Grail of Internet marketing is for your site to appear in the top three search results for a specific keyword on Google. It's all about location, location, location! If your site does not appear in the top three Google search results, you will probably never be found.

Sure, you can have a smattering of traffic here and there from the article directories and blogs that might have distributed the content, or for people who have the patience to actually bother to click on a previous page of search results from Google.

But that traffic will be far enough to create a sustainable source of traffic that can be converted into sales.

You can, at best, get one or two sales conversions per month, or maybe just a few dollars a month from pay-per-click advertising.

But let's face it. We are in business to make real money, right? You've spent countless hours building your site or blog. You expect to be able to earn hundreds if not thousands of dollars per month in passive income from your site.

Following a strategy of building effective backlink can drive thousands of visitors to your site per month, resulting in increased conversions, which in turn leads to increased cash flow for you.

What are the elements of an effective backlink building? Here are five rules to get you started:


  1. build as many one-way in-bound links to your site from relevant sites that have high Google Page Rank, as you can. Depending on your competition, you may need only 10 backlinks for up to 10,000.
  2. Build your backlinks using HTML anchor text containing the keywords you want your site for classification.
  3. Make sure the landing page of your link for backlinks are optimized for the keyword you want your site for classification. If the main page of your site can not be optimized for the keyword, then create a separate page within your site and load it with content that is optimized for that keyword.
  4. Backlinks can come in the form of articles, posts, forum posts, social bookmarks and RSS feeds. Use a variety of each.
  5. Avoid posting duplicate content to article directories different. Write unique articles to different article directories. Better yet, learn to spin your existing items to create unique content.
  6. This list is not exhaustive, but it is enough to give an essence of the most common techniques you need to embed in your backlink building strategy if you want your site highly ranked on Google.
